Dunstable Town Center Community Path

Funded by a MassTrails grant award, the Town of Dunstable is conducting a feasibility study and conceptual design to develop an off-road community path to connect important civic and cultural resources throughout the Town Center. Working with Nitsch Engineering and NMCOG, this project will result in a plan for pathways that address safety and access between the Dunstable Library, Town Hall, the Town Fields, Woodward’s Mill Pond, and the Town Cemetery off Westford Street. Additionally, thorugh this project the Town will:

  • Identify community goals and priorities for walking and recreation;
  • Conduct an alternatives analysis of the route and intersection redesigns;
  • Develop a conceptual design of a priority link in the preferred route with preliminary cost estimates; and
  • Describe an implementation plan for improvements to make the Community Path a safe, accessible, and enjoyable off-road path for people biking and walking.
